SELinux and Magisk error messages

App Cloner doesn’t require root access and rooting is not recommended, as certain root frameworks can interfere with the internal hooks used by clones.

However, if you still want to use App Cloner on a rooted device, it may be that the Store tab shows an error message about SELinux being disabled or Magisk being installed and that Play Store purchases cannot be read.

You may also see this error message when installing App Cloner on an Android emulator, such as BlueStacks (rooted or non-rooted) or the Windows Subsystem for Android.

The SELinux & Magisk detection is part of the App Cloner copy protection. It only affects reading Play Store purchases from the green premium & add-ons companion app.

Please use another device (a non-rooted phone or tablet) to back up your Play Store purchases to the App Cloner database by entering your payment email under the Store tab and then restore your purchases on the rooted device the same way. You need to confirm your email address by entering a code on both occasions.

Once Play Store purchases are correctly backed up, a label will indicate exactly how many purchases are backed up.

On the rooted device you may still see the SELinux / Magisk warning message. You can either ignore it or you can uninstall the green premium & add-ons companion app and reinstall the app later when you need to make a new purchase.

IMPORTANT: Once purchases are backed up with an email address you can no longer change this email address.
