Here a preview of the upcoming ‘Document launch mode’ option, which allows launching multiple instances of an app as if you’re working with multiple documents.
The app itself runs as a single instance but each time you launch the app it creates a new activity stack. So it’s almost like launching multiple clone instances from a single clone 🙂
Support for this largely depends on the app since it will not have been developed with this in mind. Android 5.0 or later is also required.
